Enlisted or not! This room is for everyone!

All are welcome to join this group!

I just thought there should be a place anyone who served at any time at any command could go and throw out a thought, ask a question or gripe!

  • That's the whole government James!
    Neutron bomb?
I guess there are a handful of true patriots left. We can send a mini van in to pick them up just before the decontamination.
  • If we could just rid DC of the career COCKROACHES,RINOS,WHINERS,and get somebody with BALLS,then maybe things would turn around, but there are still way too many " WILLING WELFARE / FREE CELL PHONE recipients waiting in line for the next cool toy from the govt.

  • Adrian - What is a Ki-24 Krokodil
Looks like something out of Star Trek
  • AMEN ON THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF

  • Ki-24 II  krokodil

It's time for the future Douglas.  Our Navy machines for the final battles between good and evil.

Oh wait.  We need a Commander in Chief too.  Hmm.  Let's see.

  • Beginning with Vietnam, we quit going into conflicts with the intent io winning.
1st rule of warfare (Von clausewitz) : do not engage unless your plan is to completely defeat the enemy.

Until we clean the slate in the federal government and get back to being a powerful, feared, and TRUSTED country, we are useless.
Our allies have no confidence in us, and our enemies laugh at us!
The POTUS is, and always has been, totally ineffective.
  • DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS ISSAL PROBLEM.  WHERE IS OUR GREAT UNITED NATIONS.?  THEY HAVE THE ATTITUDE LIKE KOREA OF "LETS YOU AND HIM FIGHT" AND OLD UNCLE SAM DOES MOST OF THE FIGHTING.  BEING THE ARM CHAIR GENERAL THAT I AM, I THINK A MASSIVE INVASION OF TANKS, ARTILLERY AIR POWER AND TROOPS, LIKE MAYBE 25,000 AND SETTLE THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL.

AND WIPE  ALL THESE COCKROACHES  OUT AND EVEN USE THE NEUTRON BOMB AS A LAST RESORT, THIS BOMB DESTROYS PEOPLE BUT DOES NOT DAMAGE PROPERTY.  JUST MY THOUGHTS.

  • We only had fresh milk and eggs for a few weeks after leaving port. (70s LSDs, LPDs, and LSTs) Guess they didn't UnRep or VertRep milk and eggs on Yankee Station. Not sure why as they sure did VertRep ice cream!
All hands on deck for "VertRep" and then they seemed to ignore that we were all taking handfuls of ice cream as we passed those big tubs through the various passageways. Seems like none made it full to the refers .
  • Spent 13 years as enlisted and on ZELLARS DD-77 spent under the Mess Decks with the cooks and supply folks.  Even asked to share cooking duties with an RD1 Charles in Feb 1967 off Norway, as our lead cook went 'bonkers' and he was helo'd off.  Checked reefer decks for meat and found only roast beef rumps.  We made meals of it any way we could.  Hate roast been even today.

Sleeping under the Mess Decks was one noisy event in the North Atlantic, but we survived.

I'm wondering if we can use this forum and not have people get lost!

I have been informed by our CO, Mr Karr that these forums may work a little better than the "comments" section. So, I am going to try an experiment and see if we can do some house cleaning in this command! Excuse me! Sorry, I meant swab the deck!Somehow the comments have reversed themselves and the most recent comments show up at the end instead of the beginning. We have to be supportive of Doug these days as the site seems to be experiencing a growth spurt, which is good!
