This was taken on slide film during another delightful VP-4 "bounce flight" during our 1972 deployment to Cubi.

The large aircraft are P-3 A/B. Looks like an F-4 and some A-4s are beyond them.

It looks like corregated metal hangers are being assembled to the left of the the A.I.M.D. hanger. The VP hanger and office spaces are down from A.I.M.D., with the line and ordnance shacks sitting out on the ramp a bit.

  • Love your pics from Cubi.

  • Joined the command in June of 69' and went to C- School Dec 70. Was in the V4 fuels div and the fuel compound was right above the swim beach. Had approx. 35 refuel and oil trucks. Remember watching the F4 flame out and crash into the mountain, and the mudslide burying the Ops building. Any one else remember when this happened?
