  • Oh Yes! Those bands were really talented! Some of those 70's bands made it to Vegas and some Cruise Lines!! -- On another note to Kevin; this site is so cool and full of memories, I really like those patches. Would love to put one or two of them on my Veteran motorcycle vest!!   ???

  • I seem to recall that the club bands were pretty good at playing hit songs from state side.  Someone would bring in a recording of a hit song and the bands would listen to it, and before too long, they would be able to play it really good.  Back in 1969-70 some songs that I remember the bands playing were, American Woman by The Guess Who.  Black Is Black by Los Bravos, and Hey There Lonely Girl by Eddie Holman.  Lonely Girl seem to be very popular with the hostesses as I recall.  Great times.

I remember a few from my time, but I'm sure they were long gone. 2. The JungleWas this still a thing in 90-91? Anyone remember bars from there? 3. SR FenceWhen did the fencing go up on the bridge…

What is in Subic and Angeles now.

I am living in Angeles City and have lived here for about 7 years. There have been many many changes BUT... It's still the same Philippines.Have not been down to Olongapo for about a year. The base is still recognizable as a former U.S. Base but it has been its all commercial now.I even have a friend of mine on the base. He is Japanese American and he runs a company making solenoids. There is almost nothing in Olongapo proper that is fun entertainment wise.Barrio Barretto still has many bars,…
