  • I survied 2 years there.  One long party 1966 to 1968 4 pesos to the dollar. I can remember days when we had to get back to the base and get us some rest, and back out there the next night, if we only had a dollar in our pockets we could have a good time.

  • @John they (the Ranger) tore Olongapo up,the first problem was at the taxi stand at the water front, they started fighting over the cabs to the main gate! Then for 2 days more bar fights then ever before out in Olongapo, finally the Admiral Kicked the Ranger out!! I was stationed there then and remember how sour some bars where after she left.

I remember a few from my time, but I'm sure they were long gone. 2. The JungleWas this still a thing in 90-91? Anyone remember bars from there? 3. SR FenceWhen did the fencing go up on the bridge…

He is Japanese American and he runs a company making solenoids. There is almost nothing in Olongapo proper that is fun entertainment wise.Barrio Barretto still has many bars,…
