  • I crossed the equator onboard the USS San Jose (AFS - 7) in 1980 going to the Indian Ocean. I was a BM1 in 2nd Division, asst LPO.
  • I crossed 1962 aboard the USS Navasota AO 106 trip down under, two times aboard the USS Mars AFS 1 on many trips to Vietnam Waters.
  • I crossed the equator(the first time) on 13 April 1984, onboard the USS Prairie (AD-15).
  • Was initiated into the Order of the Deep onboard USS THOMAS S GATES (CG 51)
  • i was initited into the deep on the jesse l brown on august 7 1989
  • became a shellback on board uss valcour agf 1 in oct 72. had a great day and gave it back on board in 80 on board uss king ddg 41
  • I got a letter from Dave Ysaguirre in Aug 08 about a USS Missouri BB63 reunion in 2011 in Hawaii. I've got it on my calendar and plan to attend. I'd really dig seeing the ship and showing the wife around deck, where I worked, lived... lots of memories.

  • Initiated aboard the USS Missouri BB63, in 86... The big guy at the end with the greasy belly had to be the worst of it!

    I sure did enjoy deal'n out the punishment on the following world cruise.

    Rushing, I'm quite certain we met onboard a few times.
  • I was initiated aboard USS Coral Sea CV-43 after transiting the Straits of Malacca Jan 1980. Death to 'wogs'!
  • I WAS INITIATED ABOARD THE USS YOSEMITE AD-19, OCT 12 1982 IN THE INDIAN OCEAN.
