    I haven't found any pictures of the old front gate as of yet. Maybe if I keep searching I may find someone who has posted some. If I do I will misappropriate them and post them here.

    Now that's amazing, thanks for checking it and passing it along. I can imagine that a lot of contracts and contractors got caught in the crossfire of base closings. I used to partol the old tower area regularly and I KNEW that I hadn't seen the new one...LOL. So I havent' lost my marbles YET! Workin' on it though...LOL.

    According to the site where I found these, the new tower was built after they decided to close the Base. The Navy didn't want the contractor that won the bid to take the money and run so they insisted he build the tower. It was never outfitted and sits empty

    MAN these pics bring back so many Cool memories Jim. Thanks so much for posting them. I don't remember the new tower, I think the old one was the only one there when I was there. Any idea when it was built?
