  • My first visit to Yoko was in 1958 lot has changed since then.

  • My first visit to Yoko was in 1968 and then stationed there in 1970 with BMU 1, WPD and 1971 while onboard the USS Tom Green County 1159.

  • Welcome aboard Stephen. I was in Yoko off and on from '73-'94. Probably rubbed shoulders with you a couple of times. I occasionally visited N2 to align the TSEC/KY-3. I was the Autosevocom tech working out of NCSJ. Went to Kami also a couple of times.

  • First visited Yokosuka in 67/68 on our Westpac cruise.  Then came back to Yoko  in Sep of 71 to 74 stationed at CNFJ N2, left for a brief period (18 months in Seattle) then came back to Yoko in 77 and stayed in Japan until Jun 93 (Yoko, Kami Seya, and Sasebo).

I remember my time on the USS Anchorage LSD-36, we had been out to sea for about month and 1/2 and we were going to pull in to the Philippines two days later.They decided to have a steel Beach Party and I had my lawn chair and was in shorts, and laying in the sun and fell asleep for two hours....GUESS WHAT HAPPENED? I WAS HERE! Yep in 1996 when I was on the U.S.S. Anchorage LSD-36 .
