So of the best liberty port that I had the opportunity of visiting were during my WESTPAC deployments.
The American Legion post in Olongapo was my first post back in 66 great place.
The American Legion in Olongapo today,one of the few places to get a "Cold One" cause there are more car washes on Magsaysay now than bars.
Bld 229 today,was home of COMNAVPHIL.
The new "Back Gate" at Subic now,you can see the old bridge on the left and the big building in the center is a new Hospital now that use to be PWC compound.
Made four Westpacs. Two aboard the USS Tripoli,LPH10 72-75 and two aboard the USS Ranger,CV61, 79-83. Enjoyed my many times in Japan and PI and all other ports of call.
