  • I was on Darter in Sasebo from 1980 to 1982, Great duty station, great boat.
  • I arrived at Sasebo Japan in Oct 94 and reported on board the USS Brunswick ATS -3. I was a SM1 at the time. In 96 I Decom the Brunswick and converted to MA. I then reported to COMFLEACT Sasebo security and left the island in Jan 1999.
  • I was stationed at COMNAVFORJAPAN 1983-1985 and lived off-base in Zushi.
  • Eston;Welcome aboard ,have you checked out westpac network@yokosuka.ning.com? May find some old shipmates there.
  • Passed through Yokosuka and down to Sasebo to pick up a boat on a TAD trip. That would have been in 1970.Had some good times.
  • I am new to this site. I was stationed at Fleet Activities Sasebo in 95-96.I was a member of Beachmaters Unit One Detachment Western Pacific (BMUONEWESTPAC). I enjoyed going to the clubs they had on base at the time. I was attached to the U.S.S. Belleau Wood (LHA-3) when I first got to Sasebo. Then I joined up with my unit and we were attached to the U.S.S. Dubuque (LPD-8) for a while then in late Janurary and early Feburary while aboard the U.S.S. Ft. McHenry (LSD-43) I had the pleasure of going to Shanghai, China for a 4 day port call. I truly enjoyed my time in Shanghai.
  • Yokosuka was great though I had a great time there I miss the weekend trips to Tokyo that was a blast!!!!!!!!!! Loved it!
  • Stationed aboard USS Lockwood FF 1064 Yokosuka 87-89 then changed homeports to LongBeach CA left there in 1990, then in 92 I went to the Independence CV-62 in Yokosuka also I left there in 1994 that was the roughest sea tour I had ever been through. Being forward deployed is no joke and not for the timid sea goers.
