My VA Rep (AMVETS) has talked to them, Congressmen has and I still wait... Just like Social Security Disability... THAT IS ANOTHER HORROR STORY, nd I have Bender and Bender Representing me and I have been waiting now 1 1/2 years trying to get my Disability because of my back
I do not recommend Bender and Bender to anyone... They say you don't pay if they don't win but I wonder if Social Security and Bender and Bender are working together so they can take most of the back pay?..MMMmm
glad to hear deer's is done would be nice to get back pay not sure how they work's the v.a. is just a phone call away or go on line ask v.a.iam 40% i get 635.00 i have one dependent. gl
jerry, i know the feeling i been fighting the v.a since 99 when i ret. i was lucky to get 40% off the get go but been putting in more claims since i had an appeal in there for about 4 yrs still pending, also my v,a. doctor disabled me back in mar. had to quite a great job i had i have severe case of c.o.p.d. 0% not service connected now a couple of my first ship's were old had asbestoes we tore out a berthing compartment (lagging on bulkhead's) not safety items for us after 2 day's they stopped us due to asbestoes, its in my record but does not show on x-ray's a full body scan. so 30 yrs latter still fighting, any way i got this lawyer out of n.c. iam in s.c. working my case they only want 20% of my reward no money up front or nothing a good friend used them great out come for him now iam stress free from dealing with my local v.a. rep's. not sure if any of u that read this but go to web site e-benifits get on that u can keep up with all your cases pending and where they stand it's a free site for vet's. any more info u all need iam not far from computer good luck all and darrell if not far from a base go there in person if possable for your deer's.
Dang so sorry to hear that Darrell, Contact your Congressmen and ask Him/Her to help you... Hope that gets resolved for you soon.
It's really sad what is happening to people like you and other Veterans, and not to mention that long wait for Disability increases even when one clearly shows evidence in Medical Records.
Take Oakland, CA VA Regional Office, not even a Congressmen is able to help and I have been waiting about five years on an appeal...

Just talked to TRICARE and they said Nothing Changes ....Except..
A Contract Change which will no longer be TriCare Prime but called:
UNITED HEALTH SERVICES
The cost of Insurance will not change and those who live within 40 miles of a base will not be effected ..
