  I retired off the USS Briscoe DD-977 in June 1983 as ETC/SW and I was the Command CPO

  joined us navy in sept 1964, boot camp sandiego; to uss midway right after boot camp. assigned to V-1 div, made two westpacs with her. she went to the yards and i then got orders to cva 64, where i served in V-4 div for two and a half westpacs, before getting discharged. i was out of the navy for 14 years until i decided to join the navy reserves. changed my rate to os from abfan, and remained in the reserves until feb. 2000, when i retired as OS 1. it was rough at times but i would'nt change one thing. i am very proud of my service to our great country.

  Retired in 1988, good life and a good choice in my life. Just retired from second job after 20 years. Would like to revist all the places I was stationed to see how much they have changed. I'll mke that my "Bucket List".

  Enlisted Sept. 1969 forced to retire in 1989 with a little over 20 with constructive time....Medical made me retire due to degenerative disk desease....started out as a Radioman a year later changed to Air Traffic Control, and the last four years before retirement was spent teaching advanced Air Traffic Control (Course supervisor in approach control, Airspace management, Facility Management, and Enroute Procedures). Would have done 30 if they would have let me.....Ended up puting another 14 years in and retiring again as a Lt. State Corrections officer.

  Enlisted 05/22/65 and retired MMCM(SW) on 04/30/94 with 30 years and 28 days thanks to contructive time. I was the last Command Master Chief of RTC San Diego. When the shut her down, I decided I'd hang it up also. It was great to start my career at RTC San Diego and to be able to end it there also.

  AEC (AW) USN Retired 1969-1989 Served with RVAW-120 NAS NorVa (2 tours) and HSL-30 NAS NorVA for shore duty. VA-85, VA-34 and VA-75 NAS Oceana, VA for sea duty.
