  • Hello

I was assigned to NCS Rota 81-83.
It was a fun duty station.
  • I was in Rota from 86 - 89 base police
  • stationed in Rota 1970-1971 worked the crash crew
  • I was deployed to Rota in 1981 with VP-26 then in 1991 I spent a week there waiting for someone to find my ship so they could fly me out to it. It was great in '81 but being in TPU in '91 sucked. They made you muster twice a day and sent E5 and below off to work somewher. I was an E6 by then so I didn't get put to work. Still sucked having to muster twice a day.
  • Stationed in Rota for 2 years, 1979 to 1981, with VQ-2. Loved it very much.
