NAS Barbers Point
I was stationed at Barbers Point from April 1967 to April 1969 attached to squadron VC-1. I played on the squadron volleyball team and softball team. Also drove a school bus for a school year, that was like being in McHale's Navy.

Hey Guys. I was at Det 3 59 to 61. Didn't work on the R6 but it was our favorite toy. Worked nights mostly. Night check didn't stand duty so we always got off around 1630 on Friday and it was off to the beach for the weekend. Did 5 or 6 luaus with some local folks we got to know and "Aunt Mary" alway made sure we had wahines there. Only had one bad week....survival school. If you know any TDs..have em check out Tradeveman Association on facebook. We will have another reunion in Oct.

Spent 28 months as a aircraft mech. in VR21 with a couple of temp assignments in NAS Atsugi Japan. Didn't know it then but now I see it was one of the best times of my life. I'm very happy to have that to look back on.
