I was in Cmpany 098 in 1979, I remeber before getting classed up  I would often kill time by singing to myself and one of the songs I sang outloud was Bicycle Races by Queen and some of the guys took to calling me bicycle. One of our CCs favorite word for us was burger kings cause we thought we could have it our way...lol It was a fun time we were one of the only companys that did everthing with our sister company. We took classes together, did pt together and even ate chow and messed cranked together...course durring chow both hands had to be visible above the table at all times.

You have 20 minutes and 20 minutes only in which to eat, you may have 1 fork 1 knife 1 spoon and 1 glass only. Do not step on my brass or touch my glass or you will hold the door and eat last..

    Think I remembered that right..not sure....lol

  • Hey Michelle, I was in T.U.111 in 1978. I also was in the Bluejackets choir, it was nice wen we left bootcamp to go sing some were. Miss those days!
  • I was in Company 3117 from June to Aug 1974. My CC was AZ1 Patricia Cox. I was one of the old ones in the company. I sang with the Bluejackets choir. It was hotter than hell and I contracted German measles. The first thing I did after bootcamp was burn the girdle we were required to wear for uniform fittings. My fondest memory - the first time I saluted during the playing of the National Anthem. Still gives me chills.
  • I was in company C088 from march to may of 1991.
  • i was in company C074 from feb 92 to may 92 wow its been so long i miss it
  • I was the sixth squad leader and our company leader was a guy who's father was a dentist. I believe his last name was Johnston. Please e-mail me if you were there in our company and you remember things like Company number, CC'S name. I seem to remember the name Stone for some reason. Also does anyone know where/how I might research some of this information for myself.
