"I was on the Simon Lake at goose creek S.C. 1977 to 1979. We steamed to Guantanamo bay for trials. I was a BT-2. We did a boiler overhaul underway, what an experience."

Where were you or your family stationed?

My first ship was USS F.D.Roosevelt CV-42 out of Jacksonville Fla. from 1975-1977. I was the last crew of the "ROSIE" before her decommissioning. Then The USS Simon Lake out of Charleston S.C. from 1977-1979. BT-2 at separation.
