"Yes sir, it's always good to talk to brothers who served aboard the Big E...... I'm sure going to miss the Ole girl. I hope I live long enough to get to see the new Enterprise cvn-80."
"Thank you Chief. You are so rite about the Big E. I was proud to call her my home for almost 4 years. I just I could have walked her one more time. Thanks again. "
"I was on the Big E from 1974 to 1977. Made 2 west pac's . I was in 2nd division. And oh yeah subic bay. Any one drink any major. Those were some of the best days of my life."
Hi Charles It looks like You & were on the Big E the same time I was a Plane Captain with VAW 113 "The World Famous Black Eagles. Write back!! Thanks for Serving Your Nation!!!
Welcome aboard shipmate, May you have Fair Winds and Following Seas!
Thank you for your service.
Semper Fortis!
The "Big E" is being taken apart piece by piece as you read this, she was deactivated this past Novemeber after 50 years of service! One would think that the gov could have found that carrier a home and made her a museum - after all she was the first nuke carrier. :(
