Hey Carl what ship were you on when you went through the Suez , You might have been on a ship that was in our group ,We [ USS Dyess DD 880 ] Were the last to transit the canal before they sunk a ship at the mouth of the canal ,at Port Said ,It was quite a few years before any ships went through again ,We were protested the whole way along the canal ,The Israel was hitting target all along the canal ,They tried to draw us in to the conflict .,We were lucky .
