This is my Bootcamp graduation picture. Company 001 of 1962. I reported to NTC San Diego on 12/27/61, but as the end of the year was near they made us the first company of 62. In the meantime we did all the usual stuff, haircuts, shots, clothes etc. We were an average company at best and did not win any honors. After one month I was asked to join the color guard to replace someone else and I did so.Therby becomeing a BC petty officer 3rd class.
