USS JOHN YOUNG VETERANS ASSOCIATION hosted an event for DD-973 Veterans in New Orleans, Louisiana this past June.
There were over 65 guests in attendance. The group toured the WWII Museum and enjoyeed a dinner at Tito's Restaurant provided by Charter Spectrum.
Some members travelled on to a 5 day cruise onboard the Carnival Valor with stops in Cozumel and the Yuucatan Peninsula.
Overall, a successful reunion. It was great to see some familiar faces and to watch the interaction of shipmates who served onboard 1978 - 2002.
