British F-4 on Forrestal in 1971

Traded planes and mech crews for a couple of days with the HMS Ark Royal in 1971. Notice the double height of the nose stut because their deck was alot shorter and they needed more lift.

    It looked a little high when I first saw the pic. Must be a real challenge getting up the boarding ladder with stuff.
