  • Mahalo Tim,I think you will now have a friend that you can visit when you ever go to Hawaii, lol. I have friends over there and have use of a fishing boat for deep sea fishing. It's a lot of fun!
  • Good luck on your move!

  • I'm moving to Oahu and this is the first place I plan to go to pay my respects all Marine and Navy personel lost during the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7,1941.
  • Yes,this is the oil from the USS Arizona that still bubbles to the top every day since December 7th 1941. That's 67 years that this has been going on. I often wonder how many more years it will take before it stops?
  • Hi everyone,

During my first cruise, I remember dumping stuff overboard. When we were returning home, we were told that anything you do not want to bring back, get rid of it now. What went overboard shocked the heck out of me. Today's Navy, things have changed for the better.
The image above is a totally different situation that is for sure and I believe that every American should visit.
  • I remember many a day being in shock as we dumped the bilges. I'm not sure people realize how much crap the average USN ship puts in the ocean - hopefully it's changed! I'd be on watch in DCC and watch the firemain pressure drop and I knew they were pumping in the middle of the night. I'd call it in and the EOOW would act dumb.
