  • As an Electonics Technician, it was too rough to work on the equipment, even if it was broken. I had the liberty of wedging myself between the Radar Scopes to find a place that I could ride out the storm. Eating was a different story, as the cooks had a hard time of keeping the huge pots from banging into someone as they were thrown around back in the galley. Watching the food go flying as sailors would get it on their tray was laughable. You couldn't sit down in comfort as trying to eat, while holding onto your glass and finding a way to use your eating utentsels was a feat in itself. Just the joys of living on a ship I guess.
