Rumors have it that Forrestal is to be sunk for a reef.

    I prefer sinking (Burial at Sea) rather than torn apart for scrap. If they were to be torn up for scrap at least reuse the metal for a new ship which you know they can do that with out any problems.

    I served on the Forrestal in OP div photo lab. It makes me kinda sad to see them rusting away but the navy doesn't know what to do with them. Ii know there is an effort to use one or the other as a museum. I don't think they will be sold as scrap maybe they will be sunk like the America was. by the way thanks for comment on "RUST IN PEACE" photo.
