  • I can't tell from this angle but 510 was my aircraft in PR during that period. I found it in Pennsacola (152635) at the museum on display. This particular plane had a Viet Nam and Persian Gulf I history I wasn't aware of. It was pretty cool to discover. It was close to the John McCain Hanoi Hilton exhibit as I remember.
  • Oh, they were there. Except for where there were catwalks as what's shown. Although I do recall a corner near #3 elevator where prayers were needed when I was installing jury struts to support the outer wings. It was a bit shakey and all I could see was water just aft of the wing root. I knew that if I slipped, I was going in the deep blue sea.
