  • I was in VAQ-33 from August 1971 to December 1974.  I was also an AME, working with Dennis Hart, Billy Bryan, Tom Dunlap and many others.  My younger brother Tom was also an AME with 33.  We only served together for a few months before I got orders to Pax River.  Some of the best years of my life!  Enjoyed the dets and working with some of the finest sailors in the Navy.

  • I was in VAQ-33 stationed at Quonset Point from1968-1969. The squadron them moved to NAS Norfolk, Va.

I was AME-2 along with Dave McGrew, Jack Lake, Dennis Hart, Jim Sinclair, Duane Gilbert and others.

I left in May of 1971. I am now retired after over 30 years working for DOD.

    I live in Griswold, Ct.

  • I was in VAQ-33 from 1967 to 1969, I was in charge of the AME and PR shops.
  • Proud to have been a member of VAq033 from August 1973 until July 1976! Flew as an NFO in all four types of aircraft assigned although I was primarily a "Whaler"!

Came to the squadron as a LT and left as a LCDR to serve as the Staff EWO at FEWSG,

  • Was assigned to the Shore Component of VAQ-33 from 1987 to 1990 as Line Division LCPO, then the 3rd shift Maintenance Control Chief Supervisor. I went on detachments.

  • Reported to VAQ-33 in Nov of 1980 right after the flood. Went on many Dets and mainly worked the 3rd shift. Transfered to AIMD for the last year. Came in as an Airman and left as a 2nd Class. I have many great Det memories. Fun times.
