Ahoy, Shipmates!

I was a scared 18 year old kid, when I was high lined from the USS Aludra (AF-55), to that BIG grey monster that was to be my home for the next two(2) years. 1965-67. I sure grew up, aboard 'Rangerboat'.

I was a Illustrator Draftsman (DM), assigned to the Integrated Operational Intelligence Center (IOIC), OP Division.

I had many military commands, in my 24 years of military duty. I've met & forgot many men, through those years. BUT! I've never forgot, my "First Ship". It's kinda like a guy, and his "First Girl". Unforgettable.

I communicate with many other Ranger sailors. It is my hope, that some other 7th Fleet sailor that I know, will stumble in here like I did.

I'm active with the Ranger Association. Go to almost all annual reunions. We just completed Jacksonville. Next year's reunion, will be in San Francisco. Actually, San Mateo. When? 3-6Sep15. "Seeya THERE!"
