  • My father, Joshua Cloud, was a BT on the U.S.S. Markab. I beleive he served '59-'65.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your group.

  • Came aboard the USS Markab early one morning that turned into a memorable day. It was the same day the President John F Kennedy was assassinated. Watch it all happen from the door of First Class mess on their TV. Then later I watch Oswald killed by Jack Ruby the same way. The rest of my time on the Markab was  not that way. Great ship and crew

  • Join your shipmates from the past in Las Vegas this year, Nov 2-5, 2013. Go to Markab website and print registration sheet and register at hotel. We will be joining the USS Klondike, our sister ship this year.

  • On Board 66 to 67, optical shop. Made one West Pac then transfered to Scotland.
