USS Jason (AR-8) was a repair ship of the United States Navy in service from 1944 to 1995, serving in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf War.
I was a Molder on board the Jason July 1976 to )ct. 1979.
Happy to see there are a few Jason sailors still getting together. Served in the R-2 Foundry from 1976 through 1979. Hope to catch up with old shipmates. If anyone has any pictures of life on the Jason I would like to see them. This was rhe Foundry crew in 1979.

Worked in Jason's Valve shop, 31-D, back from Apr. 80 to Jul. 81. Did a cruise on her and made Shellback and Golden Shellback too.

I was onboard the USS Jason from December 1976 thru November 1979 as a YN2/YN1.
I was a member of the Jason's electrical gang for the tour late 1960 to early 1961. Do not remember much.

After almost 5 1/2 years onboard the Jason,I met a lot of great people and made a lot of great friends some i still go see and others keep in touch other ways.hoping i can find more crew members from the jason that would be intrested in trading pictures and remembering the great times we had onboard the ol girl.I cant believe i still have all my dress blues etc from where i served on the jason after all these years and still fit into them lol.looking forward to hearing from everyone.
