I was aboard '94-'97. I was a member of her deactivation crew, with her in the yards at Norfolk, and took her from S.C. to Guam. Started out as a BT in the Fireroom and ended as an EN in the Governor and Injector shop.
I was on the cable when we got a 4.0 inspection and when the cable closed out Charleston South Carolina and before it went to guam. Actually miss the ship and its crew.

Plank owner and worked in R-1, Pipe Shop. Great division with awesome people. Still keep in touch with a few Cable sailors.

My father is a plank owner. I think he was WO3 at the time, and the DCA I think. I visited the boat several times as a kid.
My father passed away January 2010, and I'm interested in learning more about his career. If you know Lt Louis LaDow, I'd love to hear more.
