  • Hi,  I was stationed aboard the USS Columbus CG-12 from May 67 - Jul 69.  I went aboard as EMFN and left EM2. I was in "E" Div. I worked in the Distribution Gang, Battery Locker and Power Gang.  While aboard we made two Med Cruises and a Naval Academy Midshipmen Cruise to Ponce, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, V.I. and New Orleans, LA.  I enjoyed the time at sea and all the places we visited but I thought Norfolk sucked for liberty.
