  • thanks for the Add. I loved being a Navy Wife and the travel. Even tho i didnt get to travel much we was station in South Carolina on the USS FrankCable AS-40 (1983-1985).... I miss it.
  • I did more traveling and saw more "action" as a Navy Wife than I did during my time on active duty. Should have gotten hazard duty awards for all the moves, not to mention the earthquakes, volcanoes and typhoons we had to deal with. :)
  • I was stationed in Newport, RI during 1968, 1969 & 1970 with my husband. If anyone on here was there during that time please add a comment. Thanks.

Santa - A Navy Vet?

Sarah Smiley wrote a great article, Santa May be a Navy Man at Military.com. Lately I've had suspicions that Santa Claus may be in the military. Indeed, I suspect he may be a Navy pilot. Beyond the obvious similarities - serving others, altruistic motivation, worldwide travel - between St. Nick and people in the military, there are other clues that point to Santa's real affiliation.
