I was attached to VP-65-child squadron VP-0919 as the drilling reservist before I went active diuty. Then I was active with VP-65 for three months before transferring to NAS Whidbey island.
I was assigned to VP-65 from my parent command that was Navaires Pt Mugu. worked in the Hydraulic Shop for awhile and then assigned to the flight line as a plane Captain. Went on 2 overseas assignments to Misawa, Japan in 1987 and 1988 i really enjoyed my time in Misawa, Japan. While i was with VP-65 i totally enjoyed my time with VP-65 and the comrodarey and i became friends with alot of the squadron personnel. VP-65 was one great Squadron to be assigned to.
