richard ruyle ams3 attatched to operations from 65 to 68. was air crew on the R4 . and the helo andworked ops maintaince on the station aircraft. ops CDR. was Dixie J. Mays and a great stick. i remember all the squadrons and personel especially the rag outfits like VA45 VA174 also VFP62 and the rag draggers of VC4 DET A. great crew and seadaddies for youn airmen right out of A school. omd skipper was LCDR I.E. Eagerton and line chief was Murray Dyke.

Worked the fuel farm as one of the fuel quantity checkers at both NS & EW sides of the field 1978-1980. A shipmate took his own life at the Lox Plant in January 1980. Never forgot you Stoney, ABF2 Stone. R.I.P. brother!
