  • I was station at NAS Imperial Beach with HC-5 back in 1971 was TAD to Base at the Hydraulics Shop. Was there when they re-commission us from HC-5 to HSL-31 got out in 1973. It was a great place to live and work. Sorry to see it has been decommission to an outlying field now.

  • I checked on board as the AMO November 2004, moved up to AIMD in June 2005 and went through her name change to HSC-25.  Love that tour.  I would go back and live there.

  • Miss Guam early 90's with the cool beach clubs with no cover charge, I think that's all gone in Agana, HC-5 changed into another squadron I think it's called HS-25 forgot the name and it's H-60's now, seen a CIA type weekly show I think it was called "Burn Notice" shot at the Naval Hospital in Guam and the H-60 landing on the Helo pad, it did not look like the pad at the hospital though but right next to the water, I know down at Big Navy, clever.
