    Completed Dental Tech 'A' School in January 1965. My first assignment was NAS JAX. Stayed in JAX until New Year's Eve 1966, when I was transferred to the USS Arcadia (AD-23), homeport Newport, RI.

    Have been in Florida since 1991, came here for work and now that I'm retired I'm staying. What's not to like about the weather in Florida?

    I live in Homosassa Springs, raised here, graduated from Crystal River High then went into the Navy in 1975. All I wanted to do was float on big grey boats and see the world.  Went to Orlando Summer Camp for training , then San Diego for "A" school became a HM.  On my dream sheet, asked for every place in the world but CONUS. And they sent me to NRMC JAX.  lol, fml. My whole career pretty much was spent CONUS. TAD to Pensacola, 29 Palms, San Diego, New Orleans, then back to NAS JAX.

    I retired from the Navy Nov 1971 at NAS Jacksonville. Then went to work for the Naval Aviation Depot NAS Jax.

    I currently make my home in the Spring Hill, Florida area.  I was an EM and served from 75 to 82.  I make my living now managing industrial construction projects all over the world.  It was most interesting to visit Bahrain 30+ years after I was stationed there on the Lasalle.
