I would like to hear the experience and the impressions you had when reporting to NAS Lemoore for the first time.
It was quite an unusual experience for me in August of 1971.
We all departed the training command that was Boot Camp, (a major story of its own)... spent some months at an "A" school, then at last departed en route to "the real world".
When you at last arrived there, was it for you... a shocker, a relief, or a WTF? moment? A combination of these?
I would like to hear and share what it was like on that day or night, which like it or not, had to have been a major turning point in our lives.
