This woman was a very young child when her family packed over 100 people, knees to chest, into Uncle's fishing boat and left communist Vietnam in hopes of being rescued. They knew that most refugees would be killed by sharks, and many of the girls were captured by Thai pirates and sold into sex slavery: but they were so desperate to leave the horrors of their own country that they took that chance. Here is her story. Most poignant is that several of John Young's original crew, including Eric Koehler and Mark Taylor, were in attendance... meeting these refugees again for the first time in 40 years.... credit to author, G Lamar Wilkie.
