Hasn't been scrapped as yet...lets all keep our fingers crossed that the "BIG John" will find a home somewhere as a museum ship.

I was not aware of the new one. The original CV-67 was in Cuba for her shakedown cruise when I was there. I believe the last I heard she was still in the mothball fleet at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, unless she has been scrapped. There was also some talk of moving her to New England but I don’t think that ever happened.
