Westpac was a wonderland. Some ports were much better than others, like Hong Kong or Subic Bay. What was your favorite port of call?

Lots to see and do now, even more than in 1966. Night life and the nightspots were great. I dated a girl from the CIA.

I got to visit D.C. while stationed at Lakehurst NJ. I took a bus down for the weekend and spent the night. On Sunday I toured as many sights as possible and caught the bus in the afternoon to return to base. I wish I would've had more than one day to see.

Since nobody has answered yet, I’ll give it a try. Never had sea duty in four years, except for a rack on a ship going to Haiti or Jamaica on the weekend from Gitmo. So here is my favorite duty station, Washington, D.C., while stationed in Arlington,Virginia.
