Time to sign off and go watch the Philadelphia Eagles on TNF. The answer I was looking for was "scouring powder"

I've not heard of Sougee powder before, but you're close Corky.

Anybody else think they know?

Sougee powder. To be honest, that’s all I could find when I looked among Navy slang terms.

When I was a kid we called the stuff that comes in a can that says Comet or Ajax on the label "cleanser".  I don't know if it's the same all over but the Navy had a different name for it. 10 points for correct answers What was it called?
