Hello Dan, A person from your past. Bob Rothen. You and your wife graciously offered to host our wedding reception (Patsy) in your house on the base in San Diego.(1961). Served with you at FAWTC. Just uncovered a picture of you, Ron Herbert and Dave Nurenbern, taken in your front yard.

Will do. Our family reunion is in August but may come up in May this year. Have a grandson turning 16 and wants to have his birthday party there, also would be attending my class alumni at the same time.

That's some stash ya got there. I keep three pistols in the house a S&W .357, Ruger 9mm and Breretta model 92 in 9mm. Myself, my wife and son know when and how to used them. I keep all my collector type guns in a bank lock box so if I get broke into I won't loose evreything.
I can understand you not wanting to fire that 69 cal flintlock pistol The one I had had pin that secured the barrel that looked like a cut off finishing nail.
I keep enough reloading componets tp make at least 1500 rounds plus I have a few cases of "beans" stashed away just in case.

I was in ML A school in Nov-Dec 1985. I don't know if it was me or not. I did have to work hard (Maybe harder) to prove that I could do the job. I did my time on the live end of the shank. I could pour steel, brass, bronze and aluminum with the best of them. I even had to take over for this young skinny guy once...I believe his name was Schrengoust or something like that. I worked in the foundry the whole time I was an ML. With the exception of when I was pregnant with my 2 boys and when i was LPO of the Carpenter shop on the USS Puget Sound. At 12 years when I was on recruiting duty I had to cross rate.....it got me out of recruiting duty early (thank GOD) so I cross rated to SK and finished my career as an SK. I have been "retired" for 3 1/2 years now. I work for the Postal Service as a window clerk. I am looking forward to the day that I am really retired. Take care
