OK HERE I GO AGAIN DOWN MEMORY LANE. THE ONLY THING THAT TRULY SCARED ME DURING BOOT WAS THE FIRE DRILL TRAINING AT THE "BLOCKHOUSE". WHEN THE CLOSED TYHOSE STEDEL DOORS AND LIT THE DIESEL I RUNIED A PERFECTLY GOOD PAIR OF SCIVVIES BEFOR WE FINALLY FUMBLED OUR WAY TO THE DOOR AND GOT IT OPEN. ONLY HAD TO DO IT ONE BUT THAT WAS PLENTY FOR ME.

DEEP FREEZE III

Still trying to find someone else
(still alive) who wintered over in McMurdo Sound 1957-58. I turned 21 while wintering over so I know some of the old timers may no longer be with us but would sure like to hear from anyone. tks Bill fisher RM1 (ret)
