A few years ago the U.S. flag code was changed. Veterans should now salute the flag as it is raised lowered or passes in review. A salute should be given when the national anthem is played.

A friend and I were discussing the crisis the United States has in the Middle East and he brought up a great observation. When 9/11 occurred, the United States was rightly in an uproar.
