Any of you flyboys out there remember your first flight? Mine was with vt-7 in the back seat of a t2c. After weeks of training in pensacola in the pressure chamber, and ejection seat and  all the class work I finally was scheduled for my first flight.I really felt cool in my new  flight suit legs wrapped with a g suit and my shineing new helmet.Take off was an experience of a lifetime. No one had bothered to tell me that it was a prestige thing for the pilot to make sure your first flight…

I read a book by that title by G Gordan Liddy. What's changed since you were a kid. Gun control, Prayer in school, Smoking,  Political correctness, Moral leadership, Taxes. Just to name a few. I know I don't feel the same freedoms I did as a kid. How bout you?

Gerald,  I remember Hartig but I don't know if I remember him from VP 66 or Rota there in Atlanta. I was a SAR and worked with some great Sailors and Marines out of the airframes shop. We worked on just about any aircraft. I don't remember anyone in the picture though. Were they all TARS. I managed to serve 14 years before a stroke ended my military career.
