I have never been in the Navy, but have spent 35 years in the Historic Naval Ship preservation business as a civilian.
1978-83 - Shipkeeper and Curator aboard JOSEPH P KENNEDY JR. DD-850 in Fall River MA.
1983 -1977 - Ship's Superintendent, Curator and Acting Director of USS KIDD DD-661 in Baton Rouge LA.
1998-Present - Ship Superintendent and Executive Director of USS SLATER DE-766 in Albany, NY
