When I arrived in July 1971, I was immediately placed in X-Division.  Shortly thereafter, I was internally moved to Security Department.  I didn't get to work in the COMMSTA until January 1972 timeframe.  I don't remember which section I initially reported to, but RM1 Dale Lott was the senior first class (Watch Traffic Chief?) responsible to the Communications Watch Officer (a Chief Radioman).

I wasn't there for the flood, but I heard a lot of horror stories.

Tom , Your right it has been a long time since Fort Allen . Contacting you brings back many memories of good times there . I can still picture the place in my head . The movies , barracks , and most of all the chow hall .. Always good food .

Yes Thomas, I guess we were there at the same time. I will have to jog my memory as the names do not ring a bell. I know that if we were in different watch sections one may not have seen the other, except when you were releived of your watch. I do believe I was in section 4 and I was on the floor at first and later went to the message center and was there until I went on to Philadelphia. I know I had a 2 year tour of duty there.
