hi Thomas I was at camp ten shua from Sept 1966 to Sept 1967
there as nothing like a cold san Miguel and some Adobo on a hot day
WE did also for the most part. Great place to get packaged penuts. Love a coke with peanuts in it...Country, I guess.
Thomas When I went aboard the USS Mckean DDR784 in long beach, we used to have gedunk trucks come on the pier . Guess you did also. The old timers used to say we were going to buy Pogy(?) bait. Never knew what that was, but would not ask.
i think the base closure were throw the dart at a target and we the bay area was the target
