Sorry It took so long to answer you. The last time I saw you was when I was on Shore Patrol in San Diego. I don't know if you remember that. I heard your distinct voice and I told the guy with me that I know that voice. Thats a guy named Mikey, I was stationed with him on the Cochrane. That was a long time ago. I guess I can't call you Mikey no more.I guess we've all grown up. Time sure does fly by. Next weekend I'm going to a Yosemite AD-19 reunion. I was on her from 1991 to 1994. I got married to one of my recruits sister when I pushed boots in Orlando. I've been married since 1982. I have 5 grandaughters. Do you work? I work at The Home Depot. After I retired from the Navy, I built a house for a friend of mine. He didn't have any money to pay me so he gave me 5 1/2 acres and 1 1/2 acres. The house I built him was about 5000 sq. ft. I then built a spec house on the 1 1/2 acres but I sold that to my step daughter. I also sold the 5 1/2 acres. With that money I built my wife and I another house. I have no mortgage so I took a job at Home Depot to have something to do. I 've already gone through my second childhood . I bought a 1992 Vette and a 1998 Vette, I then sold them and bought a Harley. That reminds me, remember John L Butts? He had a Harley when we were going through the yards in Hawaii. Well Mike, my wife is calling me to come and eat, so I'll talk later.

Yes Mike I' m the same person. Its great to hear from you. Where are you living? I live in Callahan, Fl. I can't believe I'm in that picture with you. I retired in Feb 1996. I went LDO. Have you heard from any one else from the Cochrane. I also see Eddie Rodriguez in that picture. It would be nice to hear from Mitch Mercell. I know you remember him. I don't know if you remember Chief Barney C Lewis, but I ran into him in Rhode Island. I had to go to DCA school there and I paid him a visit where he worked. He didn't see me so I walked up and kicked his chair, He said " I don't know who you are, partner, but if you kick my chair one more time I'm going to kick your butt. I said you better stand up and salute me first. He stood up and couldn't believe it was me. He then told everybody there that he trained me to be an officer. Well Mike I have to go visit my grandaughter. Keep in touch. Mac
