Where were you or your family stationed?
For almost 3 years I was stationed in San Diego, Ca. I spent my last 13 months in Charleston South Carolina on board the USS Canopus. Six months after being discharged I joined the Navy reserve unit in Las Vegas NV and did 3 years there before calling it quits

Yeah, Bill was a pretty good guy. We used to mess with each other a lot. We were waiting for the coffee to get finished in one of those autodrip makers one day and the filter collapsed and the coffee was weaker than kitten piss. I told Bill just to run it back thru again. He was trying to figure out how to pour the coffee back into the filter basket without it running all out the bottom. I told him to put his finger over the hole in the bottom. So he proceeded to put his finger on the hole and pour boiling water on it. It took him longer than the rest of us, but he laughed about it, too.

Yeah I think I remember. As far as the limp goes, I seemed to pick up a lot of those in the navy. The first one was from falling off the cliff at Torey Pines onto Black's Beach, but that was in '70. The one you saw was probably from some body t-boning my bike while I was on it. Didn't you work for a 1st class named Bill something that was resoring an old Volvo?
