oh yeah two wiskey runs and I wasnt old enough to bring any back remember the street vendors that sold rum and coke in apaper cup think it was fifty cents I know for sure that was the price for the small coke in a machine on the beach I was thinking it was before the nato and that would have put you there I will have to ask nelson he will know exactly because his son died and he went om emergency leave by the way he stayed for 20 and made chief he is in our command I sent him an invite right after I joined last week do you have a facebook page there are 2vulcan groups and a navy vets we are in

Donald I did happen to be on deck going into antwerp the scerws we turning up mud as we passed holland I remember the row of windmills on the bank luckey you getting to live there for awhile I dont know why but we didnt get a liberty call ln antwerp I am sure you remember the 6weeks in san juan ship was full of comelions the 5&2girls at the bar loved the fried green bananas and great scuba diving a lieutenant grabed some ships gear anb took us diving but my first love was st thomas bluebeards castle(still in buisness today) and saphire beach still have a conk shell I got while it was still alive were you aboard for both trips there always said if I ever get back there I would never come back still fell the same way but it wont happen now osteo artheritis in both knees I can only walk about 50ft at a time just got put on oxygen and have been on a non service related pension since 2003

Donald I remembet all the things you mentioned jist like it was yesterday nrver knew why we were in gitmo and I was in the evaps thats wild were you still aboard for the nato cruise to the north atlantic I had a great liberty in scotland one of the girls in a dance hall in Edinbrough took me home with her back to Glascow where we were anchored out only port we ever got 24hr liberty we also hit LeHarve France another good liberty and Antwerp Belgium the tide there was so big when I woke up the pier was level with the porthole anb my berthing was on the main deck I know you were on the 01 deck were the racks there 4 or 5 high? I spent a lot of duty nights in the shipfitter shop teaching myself how to weld wish I could remember the great shipmate that let me do it has served me well through my life do you remember when the shipmate was killed by the wind blowimg the side door in shipfitter shop closed while he was sitting there after work I am sure you seen them there every evening

thanks so much for the friend request no doubt we seen each other a time or two another shipmate of ours is on this site Darrell Nelson en2 a gang and I just sent a invite to Larry Santorski sk?we were all aboard at the at the same time larry was on the missle deployment Darrell and I came aboard mar63 spent most of my time in the pit evaps had 90 days messcooking do are you in contact with anyone else from our era?
